Preschool Families Serving Others
Preschoolers can Serve by Helping At Home
Serve by helping at home
When we give of ourselves to our family, we are participating in acts of service to God .
Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him (Colossians 1:17). Our everyday chores, from picking up toys, doing laundry, sweeping the floor are acts of love in service of God. By asking our children to help with chores, we are asking them to participate in God's work. Sit down as a family and make a chore chart or chore cube of age appropriate tasks. We are never too young to learn how to help others and serve God together.
Every day chores can be made be made into a game. Click on the link and down load the pattern for the chore cube. On each square of the cube write or draw a picture of the chore that needs to be done. Cut the cube out, fold along the lines and tape the cube together. Children roll the cube to see what chore they are assigned to do.
